AP-Nylon® Caprolactam for other applications

Besides the main field of application of caprolactam in hydrolytic and anionic polymerisation, AP-Nylon^® Caprolactam is also used as

• Blocking agent for isocyanates
• Processing auxiliaryx for polyamide film extrusion
• Comonomer for co-polyamides (e.g. PA6/66)
• Cross linking agent for Urethane-polyester coatings
• Impact modifier for melamine coated chipboards.

AP-Nylon^® Caprolactam guarantess due to ist low moisture content a optimal reactivity and reduced tendency for  agglomeration, by which AP-Nylon^® Caprolactam allows a better dosing and handling compared to standard-caprolactam. To prevent any moisture pick-up and therefore appearing agglomeration even during transport and storage AP-Nylon^® Caprolactam is supplied in aluminium-claded, moisture-proof bags.
