Emulsion Polymerization

Radical initiator systems are an essential component of the polymerization in water. Besides peroxides, so called redox-systems which contain a reducing agent and an oxidation agent, are crucially important. Since the beginning of emulsion polymerization, Bruggolite^®E01 is one of the best known reducing agents. Its high reliability and reactivity characterizes this product; it does not cause any discoloration of the polymer and is worldwide utilized in almost all emulsion polymers.

Bruggolite^®FF6M is the first new development in this field since almost 100 years and represents the solution for the increasing requirements of the market towards our customers’ products. The most important characteristics of this product are low levels of residual monomers, a high reactivity, no yellowing discoloration of the polymer, FDA approval as well as the absence of formaldehyde.
