Typical products range from large semi-finished stock (e.g. bars, tubes and sheets) with low inherent stresses to complex castings which cannot be obtained by injection molding or extrusion.

Brüggolen^® additives – efficient and sustainable

The Bruggolen^® C range of additives comprises catalysts and activators which have been purpose-developed for the production of high-grade cast polyamides by anionic polymerization. In our ongoing refinement and innovation of these systems, effectiveness and efficiency are key considerations, along with our focus on sustainability. One example of this approach is Bruggolen^® TP-C1001, our new high-performance liquid activator. Liquid activators can be metered volumetrically and hence, more easily in terms of process engineering than their solid counterparts. At the same time, they yield a cast polyamide of substantially superior impact resistance. However, conventional liquid activators contain solvents such as NMP (N-methyl-pyrrolidone) which are classified as a reproductive toxicants today.

• Bruggolen^® TP-C1001 is a new and optimized, sustainable liquid activator for the anionic polymerization of caprolactam. Containing no pyrrolidones classified as reproductive toxicants, it delivers high reactivity and increased long-term stability.
