Brüggemann strengthens its Position in the Ethanol-business
Takeover of the BfB Ethanol Production-site Wittenberg by Brüggemann
BrüggemannAlcohol Wittenberg GmbH takes over the Ethanol Production site in Wittenberg from the German “Bundesmonopolverwaltung für Branntwein (BfB)” on 01st April 2012. The newly acquired production site in Wittenberg will be operated parallel with the existing production site in Heilbronn from the groups headquarter in Heilbronn. Sales and marketing activities for both production sites will be centrally managed from the HQ in Heilbronn.
The acquisition of the Ethanol production site in Wittenberg is another step in Brüggemanns strategy to become one of the leading Ethanol producers in Germany with tradition and knowledge. It will certainly strengthen our competitiveness and create new prospects for our activities, says Wolfgang Plaschke, Managing Director of the Brüggemann group.
Buyer and Seller together made it possible that all employees’s continued to be employed and were provided with appropriate jobs.
With this strategic step Brüggemann will continue to expand its position as a leading provider for ethanol in Europe. With its potable ethanol of highest quality, the production site in Wittenberg will greatly contribute to Brüggemanns wide range of high quality ethanol for all kinds of applications.
The German market is traditionally the biggest market for Ethanol in Europe. By taking over the production site in Wittenberg Brüggemann took a very important step to strengthen their position in the field of Ethanol and to further expand their business venture.
