REACH – Pre-registration phase completed

Since December 1, 2008 the time period, which allowed the pre-registration of substances under the new European Chemical legislation REACH, has ended. A pre-registration during this time period allows the application of respective transition periods. BrüggemannChemical has take care that the substances in all products and the respective raw materials have been pre-registered in time. Thus, from today’s point of view, no REACH related changes in the BrüggemannChemical product portfolio will take place until December 1, 2010. On November 30, 2010 the transition period for some large volume substances (< 1.000 t/a) will end. These substances will have to be registered according to the REACH legislation until this deadline. For substances of the other volume ranges there are respective later deadlines. At this point in time BrüggemannChemical expects that all products also after the applicable deadlines will be supplied to customers as before. Should it be necessary to adjust the BrüggemannChemical product portfolio in the course of the next years due to the REACH-legislation, all customers will be notified in time and common solutions will be worked out.

The products Bruggolite®FF6M and Bruggolite®FF7 have already been registered as new chemicals before the entry into force of the new chemical legislation REACH. They are thus ELINCS listed and therefore registered. A transition period thus does not apply to these products.

Substance listed on the SVHC list from December 19, 2011 are currently not included in the BrüggemannChemical product portfolio. In case this situation should change, BrüggemannChemical will comply with its communication responsibility according to article 33 of the REACH legislation by distribution of the respective material safety data sheets.

In the course of compiling the exposition related part of the registration dossier close cooperation between customer and supplier will be necessary. BrüggemannChemical will get in direct contact to its customer about this issue. General information will in the future also be provided on this web page.
