Spirits- / Food Industry
Ethanol is an extremely multifunctional substance which is extracted from agricultural, sugar- or starch-containing raw materials (sugar beets, sugar crane, sugar beets- or sugar crane molasses, corn, potatoes, fruit or wine) in the course of the alcoholic fermentation and the subsequent distillation.
This multifaceted substance is often used in the spirits and food branch – be it in the production of diverse spirituous beverages (such as vodka, gin liqueurs, bitters, aperitifs) as well as desserts, filled pralines and many other products.
Food Industry:
In the Food Industry ethanol serves as a raw material for the production and dilution of aromas and essences (e.g. for spirituous beverages, soft drinks, sweets and many others) and the preservation of foods.
Spirits Industry:
The spirits industry needs high-quality ethanol for the production of for example spirit of fruit and wine, diverse brandies and numerous liqueur sorts. The entire range of bitters and alcoholic mixed drinks is prepared on the basis of ethanol, as well.
Quality demands which are not measurable in the laboratory are often made regarding ethanol for spirituous beverages. In contrast to destillates from agricultural raw materials which still show the sensory characteristics of these, ethanol for spirituous beverages has to be tasteless and odorless. Generally, this so called neutral alcohol has a minimum alcohol level of 96.2% Vol. In order to meet these demands our alcohols are sensorially analyzed on a regular basis. This analysis is carried out by especially trained employees of our company.
In the area of the spirits and food industry the following sorts are used:
- Premium Potable Alcohol / Ethanol for Beverages
- Food Alcohol
- Genuine Alcohols (made of fruit, molasses, corn)
Our “Ethanol for Beverages” (Drinking Alcohol, 96.2% Vol.) serves as a basis and raw material for the production of spirituous beverages and aromas. “Ethanol for Beverages” convinces by its analytic pureness and sensory neutrality. This high-quality material is produced from sugar beet molasses, corn and fruit.
For the production of food or table vinegar the following qualities are used:
- Premium Potable Alcohol / Ethanol for Beverages
- Food Alcohol
- Special Qualities
If desired, we can also provide alcohol in kosher or halal quality and eco-alcohol from controlled biological cultivation.
